The Arizona Choir Concert Database ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account registration: name and email address, managed through AWS Cognito.
- Choir listings: choir name, location, rehearsal schedule, contact information, and descriptions submitted by choir representatives.
- Concert listings: event details, venue information, and ticket links submitted by choir representatives.
- Contact form submissions: name, email, and message content.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These are used solely for security monitoring and performance analysis.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell your data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and maintain the choir and concert directory.
- To authenticate users and manage choir representative access.
- To respond to contact form inquiries and support requests.
- To monitor application health, diagnose technical issues, and improve the platform.
- We will never sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States. We use:
- AWS Cognito for authentication — passwords are never stored by us directly.
- AWS DynamoDB for application data — encrypted at rest using AWS-managed keys.
- AWS S3 for uploaded files (logos, programs) — encrypted at rest and accessed via short-lived presigned URLs.
- HTTPS for all data in transit.
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Public Information
Choir listings and concert events you submit as a choir representative are publicly visible to all visitors of this platform. This includes choir names, rehearsal locations, contact information, and concert details. Please do not submit information you do not wish to be publicly available.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage to maintain your authentication session (JWT tokens issued by AWS Cognito). We do not use third-party cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.
6. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us at contact@findmychoir.com. Account deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.
Choir representatives may update or remove public choir and concert listings at any time through My Choirs.
7. Children's Privacy
This platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
